Curriculum
our child’s education is important to us. With our combined 30+ years of education and experience in the Early Childhood field, our staff has implemented a curriculum that is based on the “Whole Child” concept. We have designed age appropriate weekly themes for your child to learn and interact with the other children. We use a combination of curriculum resources to give your child a well-rounded learning experience. Each week outside your child’s classroom door the weekly theme will be posted so you may see what they will be learning. All of our curriculum programs promote early childhood best practices.
The Creative Curriculum
The Creative Curriculum balances teacher‐planned and child‐initiated learning, emphasizing responsiveness to children's strengths, interests, needs, and learning styles. Nationally known for being forward‐thinking, comprehensive, and rigorously researched, it helps teachers plan and implement content‐rich, developmentally appropriate programs that support active learning and promote children's progress in all developmental areas.
HighReach learning
HighReach Learning believes that children learn best through actively engaging with people and things in their environment. Children are involved in hands-on experiences, real-life adventures, and assisted discovery as they explore concepts through play. The core of the HighReach Learning curriculum philosophy is Teaching and Interacting with Purpose Using Learning Zones. Helping teachers focus on learning approaches that can be developed during any type of experience or interaction, the Learning Zones take advantage of the back and forth interaction between teachers and children throughout the day. One key element in creating our early childhood learning community is building and nurturing partnerships with families. Every HighReach Learning curriculum program includes materials that are designed to keep families informed and involved. Imagine the excitement on a child’s face as he shares his storybook, which is just like his teacher’s, with his daddy. Or the thrill of a parent hearing her child eagerly describe the poster she’s holding and the conversation they discussed in class that day. Moments like these are easily achieved with our exclusive bilingual Family Connections* pieces. We provide you with materials that not only promote a strong bond between home and school, but also equip families with opportunities to extend the learning.
