May Cooke
May Cooke serves as the Center Director of Falls of Neuse Childcare Center. She began her career in education at just 16 years old, and every position she has held since has been dedicated to supporting children and families through early childhood education.
May earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, as well as a degree in Early Childhood Education. Throughout her career, she has worked with children ranging from 6 weeks to school age, gaining valuable experience across every stage of early childhood development.
She joined the Primary Beginnings family in February 2019 as a Pre-K teacher at the Spring Forest location. Prior to joining Primary Beginnings, May served as an Assistant Director for three years, bringing strong leadership and operational experience to her role. Today, she proudly serves as the Center Director at Falls of Neuse Childcare Center.
May is passionate about supporting both teachers and students by providing the resources, guidance, and encouragement needed to create engaging, educational, and nurturing classrooms. She believes learning should be both meaningful and fun, and she is committed to fostering an environment where every child can thrive. One of her favorite parts of each day is greeting every family with a warm smile, helping create a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
May lives by the motto: "A child needs a place where love is given and not expected." This philosophy guides her dedication to building a caring, supportive community where every child feels valued, safe, and inspired to learn.
