Father’s Day Activities in Raleigh

Father’s Day is on Sunday, June 20th 2021, and we know you want to do something special to celebrate Dad! If you’re struggling to come up with an idea, our child care center in Raleigh is sharing some free and low-cost Father’s Day activities in and around the Triangle.

Birds of Prey on Father’s Day

Where: Logan’s One Stop Garden Shop; 707 Semart Drive, Raleigh

When: Saturday, June 19th; 11:00 – 3:00 P.M.

Visit Logan’s Garden Shop for Birds of Prey for Father’s Day, a free event hosted by the American Wildlife Refuge, an organization that rescues and rehabilitates wild birds. There will be displays and stations set up to learn about wild raptors and other birds of prey that make the Triangle home.

Father’s Day Downtown Murals and Art Tour

Where: 300 Salisbury St (Corner of Salisbury and Martin), Raleigh

When: Sunday, June 20th; 10:30 – 11:45 A.M.

This is a guided tour through Downtown Raleigh that takes you off the beaten path to see amazing, vibrant murals and large scale art around the city. You’ll learn about the art, the artists who painted the scenes, and get to see other public art beyond the murals. This is a “pay-what-you-want” tour and does require registration to ensure proper social distance is available. Register here to save your family’s spot.

Wander Market: A Food & Flea Productions Pop-Up

Where: Oaklyn Springs Brewery, 2912 North Main Street 100; Fuquay-Varina

When: Sunday, June 20th; 1:00 – 5:00 P.M.

Hosted by Oaklyn Springs Brewery, the Father’s Day Wander Market is a family-friendly, pet-friendly event with local artists and live music. Plus, there will be plenty of food and drink to make the day delicious! Take in the day and enjoy the sunshine as you shop local.

Take Dad Out to the Ball Game

Where: Carolina Mudcats vs. Fayetteville Woodpeckers; Five County Stadium at 1501 NC 39 Hwy; Zebulon, NC 27597

When: Sunday June 20th; 1:00 – 5:00 P.M.

Take Dad out to the ballgame and watch the Carolina Mudcats take on the Fayetteville Woodpeckers at Five County Stadium. The Mudcats and Wake Med are partnering to offer $6.00 tickets for residents of Wake, Franklin, Nash, Johnston, and Wilson counties so this makes it an affordable, fun way to spend Father’s Day as you root for the home team.

Movies with Goats

Where: Spring Haven Farm; 5306 Homer Ruffin Rd, Chapel Hill

When: Saturday, June 19th; 8:00 P.M. (and every Saturday night through September)

Pack up some blankets to sit on and your favorite movie snacks and head to Spring Haven Farm for Movies with Goats! Each Saturday night, they show a family-friendly, PG or G-rated movie that you and your family can enjoy while petting and hanging out with their goats.
