As the Assistant Director of the Spring Forest center, Holly Bryant is responsible for supporting the operation of the center, while ensuring each child receives quality child care.
Holly has her BS degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Frostburg State University. She started working in childcare in 1990 as a school-age teacher for a large chain. From there she moved up to Assistant Center Director then upward to Center Director. She took a two-year absence from childcare and then returned as a Program Administrator for the same company in Colorado where she was a District Manager in Training. Upon her move back from Colorado to VA, she went back to the classroom for two years teaching Pre-Kindergarten before taking on the position of Head Start Director. Before coming to Primary Beginnings in October of 2012, she was the Executive Director for a non-profit childcare center in Virginia that housed the state-funded Pre-K program.
Holly’s philosophy on education revolves around the individuality of each child. Every child learns in a different way and that should be embraced. The Pre-K years are the most impressionable and are the foundation of the building blocks that construct a child’s educational experience. Her motto is “Only you can make a difference in a young child’s life.”
Holly is a native of Maryland and most recently moved to Clayton, NC in November of 2011. She has three incredible daughters, all with different personalities and interests, which makes her life so much more exciting. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering, playing/coaching softball, working outside, and attending community festivals/amusement parks.
