Rebecca Jennings, Asst. Director

Rebecca’s Bio

As the Assistant Director for Primary Beginnings at the North Hills Dr preschool, Rebecca Jennings is responsible for supporting the operation of the center, while providing high-quality child care for each child that enters the center each day.

Rebecca came to Primary Beginnings in May 2010 as a Schoolage classroom Lead teacher at the Spring Forest location. While Rebecca loved working with the after-schoolers and the summer campers, she quickly moved into a management position the same year.

Her philosophy is that every child has the potential to bring something special and unique to the world. Rebecca believes in helping children develop their potential by believing they are capable individuals and assisting children in discovering who they are so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas. Also, helping them meet their fullest potential by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites sharing of ideas. And allowing the child’s natural curiosity to direct his/her learning and promote respect for all things and people.

Rebecca has been an early childhood teacher since 2000. In addition to her Early Childhood career, she has also worked as a head chef and banquet coordinator for a local hotel. Rebecca holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology and is currently in school working towards her B.S. in Psychology. Rebecca was born and raised in Aiken, South Carolina. She came to Raleigh to attend Saint Mary’s High School and Junior College and has been here ever since. Rebecca’s family includes her beautiful daughter Maliah and their dog Koko. They love to shop, watch and play sports, loves cooking and baking, and hosting family game/movie nights.
